Google Finance classic was never flashy. That was the point. For years it was the fastest way on the web to check a price, scan a chart, and get on with your day.

In August 2025 Google began testing an AI-powered replacement. For a while a toggle let you escape back to classic. On July 23, 2026, the toggle vanished, and with it the classic experience. Folivue exists to continue it.

A short history of Google Finance classic

Google Finance launched in 2006 and settled into the design people now call classic: a white page, a blue chart, a dense table of numbers. It survived multiple Google redesigns because it worked.

The end came in stages. Testing of the AI version started in the US in August 2025. It expanded to more than 100 countries in April 2026. In July 2026 Google Finance exited beta, shipped a dedicated app, and removed the classic option entirely.

What Folivue keeps from classic

Everything that made it useful. The quote page hierarchy, the compact stats grid, the instant range switching on charts, the watchlist table you can actually read. If you could do it in classic, our goal is that you can do it in Folivue.

What Folivue leaves out

The AI layer. No generated overviews, no chat prompts, no summaries between you and the numbers. Folivue is charts, quotes, and lists, in the classic order.
