The toggle is gone. The view is not.

Google Finance classic view, rebuilt

Google removed the option to switch back to the classic view in July 2026. Folivue recreates it, pixel for pixel, and launches next week.

Not mockups — work in progress

See it for yourself. It's really back.

These are real screenshots from the Folivue build. Honestly: we are about 40% of the way there — some spacing, charts and features still need work before they match the real design — so give us one more week. Live market data underneath, no AI layer on top, and the rest of the classic view landing piece by piece.

Updated July 29, 2026

If you searched for the Google Finance classic view, you already know what happened. The link that used to say Switch to classic Google Finance quietly disappeared when Google Finance left beta on July 23, 2026. The AI-powered redesign is now the only version Google offers.

Folivue is an independent project with one goal: bring the classic view back. Same layout, same dense quote pages, same fast charts, none of the AI layer. It launches next week.

What the classic view did better

The classic view put the data first. You typed a ticker, you got a price, a chart, and a stats table, all above the fold. No chat box, no generated summaries, no scrolling past AI answers to find the P/E ratio.

  • A quote header with price, change, and after-hours in one glance
  • A stats table with open, high, low, market cap, P/E, and dividend yield
  • Clean line charts with 1D to Max ranges that load instantly
  • Watchlists you could scan like a spreadsheet
  • Market indexes across the top, always visible

Can you still switch back to the classic view?

No. The toggle was removed for everyone when the redesign became the default worldwide. There is no setting, URL parameter, or browser trick that restores it on google.com/finance. That is why we built Folivue.

How Folivue brings it back

We rebuilt the classic interface from the ground up: the layout, the type scale, the chart style, the green and red you already know. Real market data underneath, with watchlists at launch and portfolio tracking on the roadmap.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Google Finance classic view still available anywhere?

No. Google removed the classic view toggle on July 23, 2026, when Google Finance exited beta. The AI redesign is now the only official version. Folivue is an independent rebuild of the classic view.

Is there a Google Finance classic mode or setting?

No. The redesigned Google Finance has no classic mode, hidden setting, or URL flag that restores the old layout. The classic interface now exists only as independent rebuilds like Folivue.

Is the classic view the same as the old view of Google Finance?

Yes. Classic view, old view, classic mode, and old design all describe the same thing: the dense, pre-AI Google Finance layout that was retired on July 23, 2026.

Is Folivue affiliated with Google?

No. Folivue is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. It recreates the classic layout that users miss.
