New Google Finance Review: Why Users Want the Old One

The new Google Finance is built around asking questions. Type a ticker and the page offers AI research, generated summaries, and a chat box. The numbers are still there, but they are no longer the point.

User reaction has been blunt. Threads on Reddit call the new app disgusting and the new page useless. Google's own support forum called it a huge disappointment. Petitions asking for the old version appeared within weeks of the toggle being removed.

What the new version actually changed

The redesign is not just a reskin. It reorganizes the page around AI output and removes long-standing tools.

Who the new version is for

If you want to ask a chatbot about markets, the new Google Finance does that well. If you want to glance at a dense page of numbers you already understand, it now takes more clicks and more scrolling to do less.

Where classic users are going

Some moved to Yahoo Finance or their broker's tools. Many just want the old page back. Folivue rebuilds exactly that, launching next week.
