A Google Finance alternative for classic users

Most alternatives replace the old design with their own ideas. Folivue replaces it with the old design.

Not mockups — work in progress

See it for yourself. It's really back.

These are real screenshots from the Folivue build. Honestly: we are about 40% of the way there — some spacing, charts and features still need work before they match the real design — so give us one more week. Live market data underneath, no AI layer on top, and the rest of the classic view landing piece by piece.

Updated July 26, 2026

Since the classic design was retired in July 2026, displaced users have auditioned the usual alternatives. Most are good products. None of them feel like the page you used every day for years.

Here is an honest comparison, including where each option shines and why we built Folivue anyway.

The usual alternatives, honestly rated

What people try after leaving Google Finance, and the common complaint about each.

  • Yahoo Finance: the fullest data, but a heavy page with ads and its own AI push
  • TradingView: superb charts, but built for active traders, not quick checks
  • Broker apps: fine for your holdings, weak for general market browsing
  • Stocktwits and social apps: sentiment first, data second
  • Spreadsheets with price functions: powerful, but you are the maintainer

What classic users actually need

The requirements are simple: instant load, price and chart above the fold, a dense stats table, readable watchlists, and no layer of commentary between you and the numbers. That describes classic Google Finance, and nothing else on the list.

Folivue: the like-for-like alternative

Folivue rebuilds the classic interface with live data. If your muscle memory was trained on the old Google Finance, it transfers on day one. Launching next week.
